We assess each premises individually and provide you with sound, tailored advice. We'll suggest the most practical garage equipment solutions, helping to make your business more profitable, efficient and cost-effective.

Here’s what you can expect from our planning and installation services:

  • Site Surveys – Whether it’s for new or existing premises, we’ll come and take detailed site measurements and layout information. Our experienced technical sales team are up-to-date on all the latest legislation and will talk you through the different options available. This is especially important if you are looking to purchase new premises, and we’d always recommend that a site assessment is carried out before you commit to the purchase or leasing of any property.
  • Equipment Selection – electing the right equipment for your garage is key to ensuring long-term productivity. With our comprehensive range of products, from MOT Test Lanes, Vehicle lifts and Jacking equipment we take into account your individual needs and provide advice on the best equipment to suit your objectives.
  • Site Drawings – We produce detailed CAD drawings of your workshop and suggest the most efficient test-lane and service equipment layouts, making the best use of the available space. This means you'll be able to see in proportion exactly what your workshop will look like. We are also more than happy to work directly with any third parties e.g. builders, planners or architects to produce your drawings.
  • DVSA application – Our CAD drawings can be submitted to the DVSA and we provide guidance to assist you through the application process to obtain an Agreement in Principle (AIP).
  • Project Management – Installing a new MOT test lane or large service equipment can be a daunting project. Boston Garage Equipment will provide project management and assistance every step of the way to ensure maximum efficiency and an on time completion. With our detailed timeline of the works and installation you’ll be able to plan your business around it and minimise any disruption.
  • Building Works Support – We offer ongoing support during any building or civil works to ensure everything goes smoothly. If required, we can also organise the work to be carried out using our own highly skilled contractors.
  • Installation - Our Garage Equipment Association (GEA) accredited and qualified engineers will install your equipment and provide demonstrations as required. While we’re there, we’ll answer any questions you may have regarding operation and maintenance, and we’ll also share our best practices to ensure longevity.
  • Training – For a full MOT test lane installation, separate training will be provided at a suitable time.

Once you’re up and running, we'll continue to provide you with ongoing customer support. We offer a variety of maintenance and calibration contracts to keep your equipment in the best working order and maximise its operational life.
